Project overview
A flood risk assessment (FRA) was commissioned for a site in Norfolk as part of an outline planning application. The assessment was prepared in line with Planning Policy Statement 25: Development and Flood Risk (PPS25) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Our approach
The FRA focused on two key aspects:
1.Assessing the potential for the development to increase flood risk in surrounding areas due to the addition of hard surfaces.
2.Evaluating the impact of the development on surface water runoff.
The assessment provided a comprehensive analysis to address these concerns, ensuring the development met planning conditions and minimised flood risk.
Outcome
The FRA was completed efficiently and enabled the planning process to progress smoothly.
