Project overview
A private client aimed to develop a plot of land in Griston, Norfolk, for residential purposes. The proposed development included more than ten residential dwellings, prompting the local planning authority (LPA) to impose conditions on the planning application. One such condition required a phase one desk study to assess potential risks to various receptors, including humans, structures, and groundwater or surface water.
Our approach
to satisfy this requirement, we conducted a comprehensive review of available data alongside a site walkover survey. This ensured all potential risks were identified and evaluated effectively. Our findings confirmed that the site posed no significant risks to receptors.
Outcome
the phase one desk study was completed within a week, enabling the condition to be discharged promptly. This allowed the client to progress the development without delay.
